The FBI Bible Class
The DAY of the LORD
The Day of the Lord is a major Bible theme in the Word of God.
The Old Testament is covered up with it. You also find it in the New. It refers to the day of God's final judgment upon a rebellious earth.
Much confusion surrounds the term. Does it apply just to the millennium? Just to the Day of the outpouring of God's wrath during Daniel's seven years? Does it apply to the entire period of Daniel's seven years and the millennium?
You'd think that it all depended on whose book you read. Better yet, let's just look at the Word of God. A proper understanding of the day of the Lord and its timing changes everything.
"Woe unto you that desire
the day of the LORD!"
-- Amos 5:18
